Receiving Procedure

1.  Check Bill of Lading for correct destination and weight.

2.  Verify information on coil matches Bill of Lading information.

3.    Coil inspection: Visually inspect coil for any damage or moisture. Inspect/verify & record other requirements as listed on JDM-F-001 (Mill/Receiving Information).

4.     Note on Bill of Lading any nonconformities from inspection.

5.     Notify Supervisor and/or Quality of any nonconformities noted.

6.     Enter PO Number and all information into Stelplan including chemistries and physicals, if applicable.  Assign location.

7.     Print tag and attach it to coil.

8.     Turn in paperwork for second receiver to be done.
